Description: This Project is based on the Beautiful Garden route in south africa, in a small Village next to the ocean, called: ST FRANCIS BAYThis project involves teaching children from less Privileged Backgrounds to swim. These children never have the chance to see a swimming pool. A swimming pool is far out of reach for these children. They come from areas that have lack of water and no electricity. Their living conditions are poor.We have had a few drownings in the ocean, due to children swimming in the sea when they don't know how to swim. We started this project to create an awareness of currents in the oceans and to teach the children that they cannot swim on their own. We teach them how to swim in the swimming pool in St Francis bay.The parents are so happy that we are teaching their children to swim. What do your fees pay for? Registration Fee- marketing costs, pre-departure information and liaising with our staff via email before you depart, administration costs, web-design costs, Internet access in the office for our staffs use to communicate with you.

Program Fee – Airport pick ups Mondays and Tuesdays, Welcome orientation to St francis (near Jeffreys Bay) or Cape Town and a free surf lesson (please request this at Orientation if you wish to have one), program supervision, accommodation and self catering kitchen during volunteer placement period, and In-country administration costs, housing, electricity, water, food for the surf school and Soccer Project.

Stipend Paid: 545 PER WEEK
