Dear Applicant,

I’m Kurt Farao, founder of Wheel Index and author of many blog posts and reviews on the topic of buying and selling cars in SA. We help 1000’s of South African every month make informed decisions when buying/selling cars by providing digital reports (Car Book Values and VIN Number Checks) to aid their decisions.

The following job description will help both you and me decide if this is a good fit. If it is, then I’d love for you to apply.

Our team consists of myself, many support staff & freelancers that we hire to bring the mission of “impacting the automotive industry in South Africa”.

We are looking for someone who can:

Work full-time from home (must have internet and computer)

Make outbound calls and conduct sales telephonically

Upload new car advert listings on behalf of sellers to our car classifieds site

Here Are Some Mandatory Requirements For This Position:

(Basic skills/requirements)

You can do a need analysis before offering a product

You can build rapport over the phone

You can convey product information clearly and confidently over the phone

You have the ability to research unknown topics

You are intelligent, self-motivated, and hardworking

English must be your native language or you’re extremely fluid with it

You have a constant and reliable computer and Internet access at home

You are computer literate and know the basics of how the internet works

You are looking for a long-term partnership because once we find someone we enjoy working with, we want to work with them for life (seriously).

You can work unsupervised

You have a work environment with no noise or distractions between 8h00 – 17h00

You can reach daily talk time targets: 3.5 - 4 Hours talk time

You can reach daily closed sales targets (to be discussed)

You have to be willing to work a minimum of 8 hours a day Mon - Fri, including x2 Saturday per month.

You need to have good time-management skills (you work remotely).

(Advanced Skills)

These are nice-to-have but not necessary as we’re willing to train someone who is green but with the right attitude for success.

Experience working in a call centre

Experience using Slack and Skype applications

Skills about internet business, marketing, and sales – maybe even have some expertise in a few areas.

You need to understand and have some skills using tools/websites like Skype, Google Drive and Slack. If you are not a “computer” person or not technically savvy, this job isn’t for you.

By working with us, you will be doing and learning virtually every aspect of buying and selling cars and will become an expert among your friends if you stick around.

This is an initial 3-month contract role, with the option of becoming permanent highly possible if we are impressed with your results.

Salary

We will be paying R4150/per month basic salary for the first 3 months and commission for closed sales. A sliding commission structure allows you to earn more if you conclude more sales.

You will also be required to partake in monthly feedback sessions, these might also include sales training and introduction of new products.
